KUWAIT, Feb 1, (KUNA): Media department of the Interior Ministry has advised nationals and residents to keep a close eye on their children while enjoying events of the Hala February 2009 festival these days. A statement by the department said the advice was made to make sure that children remain safe and sound should they are attended by their parents, recalling more than 10 cases of lost children during the festival’s events who later returned to their families safely.
It stressed the importance of consolidating all efforts in order to make the festival a success, saying that such objective can only be achieved once all efforts have been united between people and security authorities. The Ministry’s undersecretary for general security affairs Major General Thabit Al-Muhanna told the press that security forces would be present at the different venues of Hala February 2009 to ensure the safety of people partaking in the event. The huge turnout for the event reflected people’s trust in the security force, said the official.
